Coach Pete

Coach Pete came across "the pond" to impart his special brand of humor-laced soccer to a new constituency here in the colonies. A semi-pro back home, Coach Pete has had to put his playing career on hold while strengthening his oft-repaired surgical knee.  He is the coach of the Santa Monica United U13G Cyclones and the U11B soon-to-be silvers while finding time in his power-packed schedule to assistant coach the Buckley School Boys’ Varsity soccer team.  He is a mad favorite of our junior set who race around the field happily kicking goals while trying to decipher what "fahster" means (we think it's British for "faster"). Coach Pete's Premier Soccer Coaching, in affiliation with Coast Sports, provides intensive instruction and holiday clinics for the most motivated of our players.


Coach Cooper

Coach Cooper can do it all…almost.  A life-long athlete, he is a brilliant coach and teacher of football, basketball, baseball, golf, volleyball, hockey, tennis, pole vaulting, steeplechase, rowing, fencing, figure skating and skeet shooting…but don’t ask him to play soccer.  Not his thing.  Still, anyone who sprawls in front of the tube on an Indianapolis Colts couch while wearing matching flip-flops has to be a mighty fun guy.  An overgrown kid himself, Coach Cooper can melt the reserve of the most reluctant five year old with his down-home smile and his easy laugh.  In fact it is impossible to be anything but joyful in his presence.  With his sparkplug sidekick Stokely (a Maltese) at his side, Coach Cooper is always at the ready…to do classes, camp, birthday parties…anything…except soccer.
